Claim: Facebook India’s Public Policy Director Ankhi Das, disrespected the country by cutting a cake with the Indian tricolour.
Fact: The woman shown in the post is Sangeetha Bahadur, the Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus. Sangeeta Bahadur had cut the tricolour Indian Flag cake on the occasion of 74th Independence day celebrations at Indian Embassy in Minsk, Belarus. It has nothing to do with Facebook India’s Executive Ankhi Das. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
On reverse image search of the photos shared in the post, we found similar photos in a post shared by Sangeeta Bahadur in her official Facebook page. Sangeeta Bahadur, the Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, shared these photos as the celebrations of India’s 74th Independence day at Indian Embassy in Minsk, Belarus.
