[orc]The Indian Railways currently extends concessions in passenger fare in 53 different categories. Here is a look at all the 53 categories.
The Indian Railways extend travel concessions in passenger fare to 53 categories of passengers and the quantum of concession ranges from 25% to 100%. The Railways has also notified general rules for availing such concessions. Passengers desirous of making use of these concessions have to use the relevant concession certificates. Given below is a complete list of concessions extended by Indian Railways. It has to be noted that the concession is applicable only on the basic fare.
