When searched for the video on YouTube with keywords “Boy tied to tree thrashed”, a video by ‘Times Now’ news channel containing the same visuals can be found in the search results. According to the ‘Times Now’ video, the incident took place in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh and the video went viral on March 28, 2018. The boy in the video was beaten up by a group of people for not paying back the money. It is not at all related to the flag issue claimed in the post. Also, the incident took place in the state of Uttar Pradesh, not West Bengal.
