A video going viral on social media (here, here, and here) claims to show a Muslim house help named Sakeena in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly urinating in a glass and spraying it on utensils in a Hindu man’s house. Let’s verify the claim made in the post in this article.

Claim: The video shows a Muslim house help named Sakeena from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh urinating in a glass and spraying it on utensils in a Hindu man’s house.
Fact: The house help in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, seen in the video urinating in a glass and spraying it on utensils, is not a Muslim. The SHO of Nagina police station confirmed that there is no communal angle to the case and that her name is Samantra Devi, a Hindu. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
To verify whether this incident took place in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, we conducted a Google search and found multiple media reports with screenshots of the viral video (here, here, and here). According to these reports, the incident is from the Nagina police station area of Bijnor, specifically Zaheer Mohalla. A house help had been working in the house of bullion trader Satyam Mittal for about ten years. A few days ago, the family noticed a change in her behaviour, as she did not allow anyone into the kitchen while working. Suspecting something, the family installed hidden cameras, which captured her urinating in a glass. On 21 August 2025, the family handed her over to the police.

The police registered a case against the woman, identified in news reports as Samantra, with her husband named Jagdish—not Shakeena, as claimed in the viral post. She was later granted bail. During interrogation, she reportedly said she acted due to mental instability and expressed shame over her actions, but could not clearly explain her motive.
We also found an X post dated 22 August 2025 featuring a statement from Nagina Circle Officer Anjani Kumar. Referring to the viral video, he said that the local police had taken action regarding the inappropriate act. He further clarified that no formal complaint was filed by the house owner.
To verify whether any communal angle was involved, we contacted the SHO of Nagina police station, who confirmed to Factly that the accused is not a Muslim. Her name is Samantra, a Hindu.
To sum up, the house help from Bijnor, who was accused of urinating in a glass and spraying it on utensils, is Hindu, not Muslim.
