A post with a screenshot that has the text that NCP leader Supriya Sule has declared Rs 100 Crore agricultural income from 10 acres of land is being widely shared on Facebook. The post seen in the screenshot is that of December 2016. Let’s check the authenticity of the information in the screenshot.

Claim: NCP leader Supriya Sule has declared Rs 100 Crore agricultural income from 10 acres of land.

Fact: Between 2013 and 2018, the income declared (from all sources) by Supriya Sule in the election affidavit isn’t more than Rs 2.5 Crores in any year and no information is available for the year 2018-2019. So, the claim that the NCP leader Supriya Sule has declared Rs 100 Crore agricultural income from 10 acres of land is FALSE.

The message is found to be circulating since 2014 on social media. When searched on the Election Commission of India website, the affidavit filed by NCP leader Supriya Sule for 2019 elections was found. The income declared by her (from all sources) between 2013 and 2018 are as follows.

  • 2013-2014: Rs 1,14,25,376
  • 2014-2015: Rs 71,14,496
  • 2015-2016: Rs 90,54,857
  • 2016-2017: Rs 2,40,28,263
  • 2017-2018: Rs 1,29,19,734.

No information is available for the year 2018-2019.

To conclude, between 2013 and 2018, the income declared by Supriya Sule in the election affidavit isn’t more than 2.5 Crores in any year. And, no information is available for the year 2018-2019.
