Following the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025, a video (here, here & here) showing a man being hanged is being widely circulated on social media with the claim that it depicts Jewish Iranians being publicly executed by the Iranian government, which allegedly arrested 700 Jewish Iranians on accusations of being Mossad agents. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Claim: Video of the Iranian government publicly executing a Jewish Iranian accused of being a Mossad agent, following the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025.

Fact: While Iran reportedly arrested over 700 individuals with alleged ties to Israel and executed at least six people of various nationalities on espionage charges following the June 2025 conflict, the viral video in question is unrelated. It shows backstage footage from the set of the Iranian film Bi Badan (Bodiless), which was released in February 2024. The video was originally uploaded in April 2024 by Iranian stuntman Alireza Donyadide on his YouTube channel. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

A reverse image search of keyframes extracted from the viral video led us to the same footage (archive) uploaded on the YouTube channel Alireza Donyadide on 16 April 2024. The title of the video indicates that it shows behind-the-scenes footage from a movie. Alireza Donyadide identifies himself as an Iran-based stuntman and action scene designer, and his channel features several behind-the-scenes clips from various Iranian films.

Further research led us to Alireza’s Instagram page, where he mentioned that the footage is from the Iranian film Bi Badan (Bodiless), which was released in February 2024. The visuals seen in the viral video also appear in the film uploaded on YouTube. This confirms that the viral video is unrelated to the events following the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025.
