A video showing 14 lokas (worlds) according to Vedas is being widely shared claiming that it is an animation film made by NASA. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.
Claim: Animation video made by NASA which shows 14 worlds according to Vedas.
Fact: This is not an animation film made by NASA. It is an animation video of a mobile cosmic Chandelier that will be hung from the ceiling of the ‘Temple of Vedic Planetarium’ (TOVP). It exhibits the vedic conception of universe. This temple is being built by ISKCON in Mayapur, West Bengal. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
Internet search using relevant keywords led us to an YouTube video of the same uploaded by “Temple of Vedic Planetarium (TOVP)” on 11 January 2021. Description & introduction of the video states that the animation video is a computer model of a mobile cosmic Chandelier that will be hung from the ceiling of the Temple of Vedic Planetarium (TOVP).
As per the TOVP’s official website, this temple, located in West Bengal’s Mayapur, is being built by ISKCON and is scheduled to complete by 2024. Same video is available on this website too. Moreover, we couldn’t find any such video on NASA’s website or media reports about such a video.
To sum it up, animation video of an ISKCON temple’s mobile cosmic chandelier is falsely attributed to NASA.
