Users are sharing this video with a claim that it shows BJP flags that were erected in China during Prime Minister Modi’s visit. It is being shared in the context of PM Modi’s recent visit (August 2025) to China. We will fact-check this claim through this article.

Fact: The video is from an Ahmedabad rally in August 2025 and has no connection to China. Hence, the claim made in the post is Fake.
To verify the claim, we ran a reverse image search on keyframes from the video and found the same video on the official YouTube channel of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from 2025.
As per the video’s title and description, this was shot in Ahmedabad, not China. Uploaded on 25 August 2025, the video’s title says ‘..PM Modi waves to the joyful crowd during his roadshow in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.’
Based on this information, we ran a keyword search and found media reports (here, here, and here) about this event from August 2025. Additionally, based on the name of the building (Mango Plus Cinemas) seen in the viral video, we found the original location of the video using the street view option on Google Maps.
The video is from PM Modi’s Ahmedabad visit on 25 August 2025, where he inaugurated development projects worth 5,400 crores related to the state of Gujarat. The BJP live-streamed the roadshow seen in the viral video on their official YouTube channel on 25 August 2025.
Furthermore, we found no credible source, news report, or government statement that supports the viral claim. No Indian embassy or foreign government has reported any such event in relation to PM Modi’s recent visit to China.
To sum up, the video of the BJP flags during PM Modi’s road show is from a rally in Ahmedabad in 2025, not China.
