Upon conducting a reverse image search on the viral photos shared in the post, we found the same photos on the ‘Midjourney Official’ Facebook page published in April 2023, uploaded by a user ‘ธตรัฐ ไตรณรงค์‘. Several AI-generated images are uploaded by this user on the Facebook page. ‘About this group’ section of the Midjourney Official Facebook group states that, ‘This is the official Facebook group for Midjourney, a cutting-edge text-to-image generative artificial intelligence program and service…..’ .This clearly indicates that the images being shared in this group are AI-generated images.
Also, upon careful observation of the viral images, it becomes evident that many of the people depicted have misshapen faces and hands, and some have extra or missing limbs. Such anomalies are typical of AI rendering, even though the technology continues to improve. Below, you can observe these AI rendering mistakes.
To verify whether the viral photos were generated using Artificial Intelligence, we subjected them to the Hive AI detector tool. This tool indicates the percentage likelihood of a photo being generated using AI. The results indicated a 99.9% likelihood of being generated by AI. Based on all this information, it is evident that the viral images are generated by AI.
To sum it up, AI-generated images are being falsely presented as pictures of mysterious creatures that purportedly existed during the reign of King Rama V in Thailand.
