A video going viral on social media (here, here, here, and here) shows a man and a woman arriving at a petrol station on a bike. The woman, busy on a phone call, boards another man’s bike and rides away with him. The post is shared claiming the incident to be real. Let’s verify the truth behind the video in this article.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: A video shows a man and a woman arriving at a petrol station, the woman busy on a phone call boards another man’s bike and rides away with him.

Fact: The video does not show a real incident; it is a scripted video made for entertainment purposes, uploaded on Facebook on 26 October 2024 by actress Sanjjanaa Galrani. The original video includes a disclaimer stating that the page features scripted dramas, parodies, and awareness videos. Similar disclaimers on other videos confirm that the viral video is scripted and fictional. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to an original video (archived) uploaded on Facebook on 26 October 2024, by actress Sanjjanaa Galrani, titled, “Who is Lucky?”

We observed that a disclaimer was included in the caption and at the end of the video. The disclaimer stated “Thank you for watching! Please note that this page features scripted dramas, parodies, and awareness videos. These short films are created for entertainment and educational purposes only. All characters and situations depicted in the videos are fictional and intended to raise awareness, entertain, and educate.”

We found the same video (archived) on the “3RD EYE” YouTube channel, uploaded on 20 October 2024, in a wider aspect ratio. “3RD EYE” creates scripted videos for educational & entertainment purposes, and both the video and its description state it was made for entertainment and education. Similar disclaimers on other videos confirm that the viral video is scripted and fictional.

Factly previously debunked similar claims involving videos by “3rd Eye” created for entertainment and educational purposes, which went viral as real incidents (here, here, here, here, and here).

To sum up, a scripted video of a woman leaving her boyfriend and boarding another man’s bike is falsely shared as real.
