Fact: This is not a true incident. The viral video is a clipped version of a scripted video created by an entertainment YouTube channel. The people featured in the video are actors. Hence, the claim made in the post are False.
To check the authenticity of the viral claim, we performed a keyword search on the internet, including words like ‘Baap, Beti, and Shaadi’ for more details on the video. This search led us to a YouTube video that contained the visuals seen in the viral video.
This video titled ‘बाप ने किया बेटी से शादी ऐसा क्या था’ was uploaded on 11 February 2024 on a channel named ‘Ashwani Pndey.’ The viral visuals can be seen at the 0:56 mark in this video.
`However, at around the 0:09 seconds mark in this video, we can see a disclaimer that says that the video was made for ‘entertainment purposes only.’ This makes it clear that the viral claim of this incident being a real one is false and that this video is entirely fictional.
To sum up, a short clip from a scripted video is being falsely shared as visuals of an old man and his daughter who married each other.
