Fact: This video is from September 2013 when Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to a heart attack. He was later discharged after getting recovered. Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 on 07 July 2021. So, the video in the post is 8 years old and not a recent one. There are a few videos of Dilip Kumar on the internet even after the 2013 incident. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When reverse image search is done on the screenshots of the video, a YouTube video was found with similar visuals. This video was uploaded on 22 September 2013 with the title, ‘Dilip Kumar Video Hospital Room Recuperating’. The description of the video is read as, ‘Dilip Kumar recuperating in a hospital in Mumbai, India Sep 21,2013’. The same YouTube video was published in a post from Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle. ‘Thank you for your prayers and love. Resting in the hospital. Video from yesterday’ says the Twitter post, which too, was published on 22 September 2013.
Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on 15 September 2013 due to a heart attack. A screenshot of the video can be seen in the article. Upon improvement of his condition, he was discharged on 26 September 2013.
Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98, on 07 July 2021. Dilip Kumar was an adopted screen name, he was born Mohammed Yusuf Khan.
