Fact: Video shows liquor mafia gang thrashing ASI Ashutosh Kumar on 05 September 2020 for obstructing their illegal liquor business. On receiving the information, Jakkanpur Police reached the spot with extra force and rescued the injured ASI. However, during this period, Nitish Kumar served as the CM of Bihar with support from the BJP. Hence the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
We searched the internet with relevant keywords and found that the same video has been uploaded on the YouTube channels of ABP LIVE, Mirror Now on 06 September 2020 reporting it as an incident of liquor mafia gang attacking a police officer in Patna.
As per the media reports, on 05 September 2020, when Jakkanpur police reached the spot over the information of illegal liquor dump near R-block of Patna, the mafia attacked the ASI Ashutosh Kumar.
