An archive version of the post can be seen here

Claim: This is a photo of Arvind Kejriwal in wet pants, taken at his residence after ED arrested him.

Fact: Upon verification, it is found that this is a digitally altered image of a photo from 2022, long before his recent arrest. Therefore, the claim made in the post is False.

To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, a reverse image search was conducted on the photo. This action led us to a similar image from June 2022.

As per news reports, this original photo was captured in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where Kejriwal had participated in the Tiranga Yatra in June 2022 (here and here).

It becomes evident that the photo was taken way before Kejriwal’s arrest in March 2024 and has been digitally manipulated to create the impression of him in wet pants. The difference between the two images can be easily discerned from the collage below.

To sum up, the photo going viral with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in wet pants is a digitally altered version of an older image.
