Video of a huge crowd gathered for a religious meeting in Andhra Pradesh is shared as video from Rahul Gandhi’s meeting

Ahead of the 2024 General Elections, a video (here, here, here) of a large gathering is shared on social media with a claim that the crowd came to support Rahul Gandhi. Let’s verify the authenticity of the claim through this article.

Claim: Visuals of a huge gathering in support of Rahul Gandhi ahead of the 2024 General Elections.

Fact: The video of the huge gathering is not from Rahul Gandhi’s meeting. This video is from the 47th International Feast of Tabernacle organized by Hosanna ministries. It is held in Gorantla of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.

A reverse image search of the keyframes of the viral video led us to an Instagram post featuring similar footage. The post mentions that the video is related to the successful completion of the 47th International Feast of Tabernacles by Hosanna Ministries. In the bottom left corner of the video, a logo with the name ‘Hosanna Ministries Official’ is visible. 

When we searched on Instagram using the term ‘Hosanna Ministries Official,’ we found a similar video in a collage format. Additionally, we also found the same video on ‘Hosanna Ministries Official’ YouTube channel

A search on the internet using relevant keywords revealed that the festival was organized in Gorantla, a suburb of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh under the auspices of Hosanna Ministries from 7 March to 10 March 2024 (here, here, here). 

Hosanna Ministries is a Christian organization headquartered in Guntur city of Andhra Pradesh. It organized this program on the occasion of the festival called ‘Feast of Tabernacle’, also known as ‘Gudarala Panduga’ in the local language.  Visuals of the past years’ celebrations can be seen here, here, and here.

To sum up, a video of a large gathering at a religious meeting in Andhra Pradesh is being shared as a video from Rahul Gandhi’s meeting.
