In light of the recent transfer of a Delhi IAS couple, who walked their dog at Delhi Thyagaraja stadium, a social media post accompanying a video of an enraged woman lashing out at someone is being widely circulated linking it to Delhi incident. The post claims the visuals show reaction of the IAS after receiving the transfer order. Through this article let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Reaction of Delhi IAS officer, who walked their dog at Delhi stadium, after receiving the transfer order.

Fact: The visuals are from Pakistan. The visuals show the reaction of an unidentified woman, when media asked her reaction over Imran Khan’s comments about Mariam Nawaz. She spoke the exact words in the context of recent police raid on of former Justice Nasira Iqbal, the daughter-in-law of Pakistan’s national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Further, there are no reports of the woman IAS officer speaking to media following the transfer.  Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

These visuals do not show Rinku Dugga , wife of the Sanjeev Khirwar, the Delhi IAS couple who were recently transferred for closing the sporting events earlier than usual for walking their dog in a stadium.

The viral visuals are actually from Pakistan, and they show reaction of an unidentified woman, when a media person asked her opinion over Imran Khan’s recent comments on Mariam Nawaz.

The viral visuals carry a logo which reads ‘Native Media PK’, taking a cue from this, YouTube search with relevant keywords yielded a full length video of the viral video. At 1:53 timestamp of this video, we can hear the woman uttering the same words as in the viral video.

According to the full length video, when a media person asked the woman for her opinion over Imran Khan’s comments on Mariam Nawaz, the woman responded praising Imran Khan and criticising the current government. In this context, the woman uttered these words referring to the police raid on former Justice Nasira Iqbal, the daughter-in-law of Pakistan’s national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Thus, from the original full length video, it is evident that the viral visuals have nothing to do with the Delhi IAS couple transfer issue. Further, there are no reports of Rinku Dugga speaking to media following the incident.

To sum it up, unrelated video from Pakistan is being shared linking it to the Delhi IAS couple transfer issue.
