A purported video showing a three-headed squirrel is going viral on social media platforms (here, here, here, here, here, here, and here). Social media users are sharing the video as a “miracle of God.” Through this article, let us fact-check the truth behind this video.

The archived version of this post can be found here.

Claim: Video of a three-headed squirrel.

Fact: The viral video is fake and AI-generated. It was originally shared on the Instagram page of ‘anmolbohraa’ on 16 November 2025. In the video caption, Anmol Bohra stated that the video is AI-generated. Furthermore, Anmol Bohra has confirmed to us that he created this video using Sora 2 AI. Multiple AI detection tools have also indicated that the video is artificially created. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

On closely examining the viral video, several inconsistencies were observed. The movements of the people, particularly the limb movements of a few individuals, appear unnatural and unrealistic. For instance, there is a clear inconsistency in the visuals of a woman wearing a green dress with a yellow dupatta. Such anomalies are commonly found in AI-generated or deepfake videos (here and here), suggesting that this footage may have been created using AI.

A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video revealed that it was originally shared (archived) on a verified Instagram page named ‘anmolbohraa’ on 16 November 2025. In the video caption, Anmol Bohra stated that the video is AI-generated. The caption reads: “Learn How to Make Viral AI Reels Like This.”

Upon reviewing the page, we found that it frequently posts AI-generated content. Furthermore, we contacted Anmol Bohra to confirm whether he is the creator of this video and to identify the AI model he used. Anmol Bohra confirmed to us that he created the video using Sora 2 AI.

To further verify whether the viral video was AI-generated, we analysed it using AI content-detection tools. Hive, an AI content-detection tool, indicated a 99.2% likelihood that the video was AI-generated. Based on this evidence, it is clear that the viral video is AI-generated.

To sum it up, an AI-generated video is being falsely shared as real footage of a three-headed squirrel.
