A video through a post is being widely shared on social media claiming that the video of Tirupati Balaji was shot by National Geographic Channel, with the permission of the Central government. Let us fact-check the claim made in the post.

Fact: The video was uploaded by SVBC TTD’s official channel on YouTube on 02 June 2017. Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel-Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams, is a bhakti channel run by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams. National Geographic channel did make an exclusive documentary named ‘Inside Tirumala Tirupati’, on the Tirumala Tirupati temple. It is said that the documentary film was shot for more than a year and the National Geographic channel crew were given access inside the temple. Hence, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.
When reverse image search is done on the screenshots of the video, a video with similar visuals was found on YouTube. The YouTube video was uploaded by SVBC TTD’s official channel on 02 June 2017. Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel-Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams, is a bhakti channel run by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams.
National Geographic channel did make an exclusive documentary named ‘Inside Tirumala Tirupati’, on the Tirumala Tirupati temple.
