The youths can be heard repeatedly saying in Hindi, “Gau hamari maa hai, police hamare baap hain” (Cow is our mother, police are our father). The claim circulating with the video states that this incident took place in Delhi as punishment for cow slaughter. Let’s verify the truth behind this claim.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The video shows Delhi Police parading and beating two men for allegedly slaughtering a cow.

Fact: The video is from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, not Delhi. On 03 March 2025, Ujjain Police paraded two accused, Aqib and Salim, for alleged cow smuggling near Jaithal on February 16-17. SP Ujjain’s official X account posted a clarification video confirming the location and details. Hence, the claim is FALSE.

To verify the claim, we conducted a reverse image search, which led us to an extended version of the viral video on the Punjab Kesari MP YouTube channel, posted on 03 March 2025. The report stated that Ujjain police had taken out a procession of individuals accused of cow slaughter. During the march, the accused were heard shouting slogans like “Gau hamari maa hai, police hamare baap hain” (Cow is our mother, police are our father). There is no mention of Delhi in the video, confirming that the incident took place in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, not Delhi.
