This video of Cristiano Ronaldo saying Inshallah is not after his joining the Al Nassr club

A social media post with a video featuring football star Cristiano Ronaldo saying Inshallah is being widely shared. The post claims that Ronaldo said this after he joined the Al Nassr club. Let’s fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: Cristiano Ronaldo said Inshallah in a live social media stream after joining Al Nassr FC.

Fact: This viral video is from an Instagram live that Cristiano Ronaldo did in October 2020, before he joined the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in December 2022. In the Instagram live Q&A session, Ronaldo said, ‘Of course, of course, Khabib is going to win, my brother. Inshallah. Siuuuuu.’ He was backing Russian former mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of a game. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

We performed a reverse image search with a few viral video screenshots, leading to a Facebook post from 2020. In the post titled…Cristiano Ronaldo: “Khabib is going to Win, InshAllah“, a slightly longer version of the viral video is available in which he can be seen saying, “Of course, of course, Khabib is going to win, my brother. Inshallah. Siuuuuu.’

Based on this video information, we looked for relevant media reports and found a few from October 2020. Reportedly, Ronaldo said this in an Instagram video. He said this in support of the Russian mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of a game.

To sum up, this video of Cristiano Ronaldo saying Inshallah is not after him joining Al Nassr; It is an old video.
