To verify the real story behind this viral video, a reverse image search was conducted using keyframes from the content. This search led us to the same video posted on the Instagram account of ‘The Great Khali,’ who captioned the post as: ‘Happy Holi to all. Celebrate Carefully.’
The exact video was also posted by an Instagram user named ‘official_athlete_soniya,’ who happened to be the woman seen in the video. She confirmed that the video was created purely for entertainment purposes.
Further examination of ‘The Great Khali’s’ Instagram revealed another post containing the same video, where he similarly stated that the video was generated for entertainment.
To sum up, the viral video is a scripted piece created for entertainment and is falsely shared as a genuine incident of a man harassing a woman by forcefully applying Holi colours.
