A video is being widely shared on social media with a claim that Noorjahan, an artist, has a Guinness World Record in her name for drawing 15 portraits simultaneously with one hand. Let’s fact-check the claim made in the post.

Claim: Artist Noorjahan has a Guinness World Record in her name for drawing 15 portraits simultaneously with one hand.

Fact: Artist Noorjahan does not have any Guinness World Record in her name. Ajay Meena, who first posted the video on social media, has clarified to FACTLY that there is no Guinness World Record in her name, but he said that she really drew 15 portraits simultaneously with one hand. He also clarified that it was not a one-day affair and Noorjahan drew the portraits over a course of one month by working on them daily for a few hours. However, there are doubts about the possibility of such a feat and FACTLY could not independently verify the authenticity of the video. As she did not have any Guinness World Record in her name, the claim made in the post is MISLEADING.

When we searched on the ‘Guinness World Records’ website for Noorjahan’s name, we could not find any record in her name.

The same video was found to be uploaded first by ‘Ajay Meena’ on his page, much before Noorjahan published the video on her YouTube channel. Also, in her video, Noorjahan thanked Ajay Meena for his support in providing her with a platform. When we contacted Ajay Meena, he clarified to FACTLY that she does not have any Guinness World Record in her name, but he reiterated that she really drew 15 portraits simultaneously. He also said that he did not mention anywhere about Noorjahan’s name in the Guinness World Records in his video. He said he just highlighted that it is a world record as she was the first one to do such a feat. He said that they are currently trying to register her feat in some records. However, one can find the logo of ‘Guinness World Record’ at the beginning of the video posted on ‘Ajay Meena’ page.

Ajay Meena has also clarified that it was not a one-day affair and Noorjahan drew the portraits over a course of one month by working on them daily around for a few hours. However, one can observe that she wore the same dress during the entire timelapse video. Further, many people doubt the possibility of such a feat. To sum it up, artist Noorjahan does not have any Guinness World Record in her name.
