Amid protests over attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, a video is being shared on social media (here, here) claiming that members of the Bajrang Dal entered Bangladesh to stage protests against the Hindu violence. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Claim: The members of the Bajrang Dal entered Bangladesh to stage protests against the Hindu violence.
Fact: The viral video does not show the Bajrang Dal protest in Bangladesh. It shows a November 2025 protest by primary school teachers in Shahbag, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where police used tear gas, sound grenades, and water cannons during a clash. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of key frames from the viral video led us to several social media posts (here, here) from the second week of November 2025 featuring the same visuals. According to the description in those posts, the visuals are from Dhaka’s Shahbag area and show an attack on primary school teachers. The posts also mention that the teachers did not block Shahbag; they were holding a peaceful rally with police cooperation.

A Google search using relevant keywords led us to multiple media reports covering this incident, accompanied by matching visuals (here, here, and here). According to these reports, primary school teachers from various districts in Dhaka were protesting to press for their demands. As they marched, a clash broke out between the protesters and the police. To control the situation, police used tear gas, sound grenades, and water cannons, resulting in around 200 people being injured. The reports state that government school teachers held nationwide protests on 09 November 2025, demanding a salary revision, among other things. When the protesters moved towards Shahbag to press their demands, the police dispersed the rally, leading to several injuries.

To sum up, visuals of a protest by primary school teachers in Bangladesh are falsely shared as the Bajrang Dal’s protest.
