A video (here, here and here) going viral on social media shows a Hindu saint seemingly travelling on water while sitting on a crocodile, and many users are sharing it as a real incident. Let’s find out the truth behind this video.

Claim: The viral video shows a Hindu saint riding a crocodile across water.
Fact: The video is AI-generated. Visual inconsistencies and multiple AI detection tools confirmed that the content is digitally created and not a real incident. Hence the claim is FALSE.
To find the truth, we closely examined the video and noticed several errors and inconsistencies. For instance, although the Hindu saint is shown sitting on a crocodile in water, his clothes remain completely dry. At one point, his hand appears to have only four fingers, and a man in a blue shirt nearby also has an oddly shaped hand. These visual glitches are common signs of AI-generated content (here and here).

We then conducted a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the same video uploaded by a YouTube channel called ‘DarkFilesAI’—a channel known for posting AI-generated content.

To determine whether the viral video was AI-generated, we analysed it using multiple detection tools, including Hive, Cantilux, and DeepFake-O-Meter. Hive indicated a 98.1% likelihood of AI generation, Cantilux showed 91%, and DeepFake-O-Meter also confirmed it as AI-generated. Based on these results, it is clear that the video was created using artificial intelligence.

To sum up, the video showing a Hindu saint riding a crocodile in water is AI-generated and not real.
