A video (here, here & here) allegedly showing a burqa-clad woman expressing her desire to marry her Muslim father-in-law after being divorced by her husband is being shared online as a real incident. Let’s verify the authenticity of the video.

Claim: Real incident of a burqa-clad woman expressing her desire to marry her Muslim father-in-law.
Fact: The viral video is not of a real incident but a scripted one. It was shared by content creator ‘Ashwani Pandey’ on his YouTube channel and Facebook on 28 April 2025. The video also includes a disclaimer stating that it is made for ‘entertainment’ purposes only. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
A reverse image search of the keyframes extracted from the viral video led us to the full video uploaded on the YouTube channel of Ashwani Pandey on 28 April 2025. At the 0:05 second timestamp, a disclaimer appears on the video stating that it is made purely for entertainment purposes.

The Facebook page related to this channel also states that it uploads prank videos. The person seen in the viral video can also be seen in other scripted videos uploaded on the channel. Moreover, FACTLY has previously debunked (here and here) several scripted videos featuring the same person that were falsely shared as real incidents.

To sum it up, a scripted video is being shared as a real incident of a Muslim woman wanting to marry her father-in-law.
