A video is being shared widely on Facebook with a claim that it shows agitation in Mangalore on NRC, CAA, and NPR. Let’s try to analyze the claim made in the post.

Claim: Video of agitation in Mangalore on NRC, CAA and NPR.

Fact: The video shows the funeral procession of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. It is not related to any agitation in India. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.

When the screenshots of the video were run through the Yandex Reverse Image Search, many similar videos were found in the search results. It can be found that the same video was tweeted by a ‘Geo News’ reporter with the following description: ‘The world’s largest ever funeral procession is currently underway in Iran. Tens of thousands have gathered to honor General #QassemSoleimani who helped to defeat ISIS, Al-Qaeda and Daesh in the Middle East.’ Similar visuals can be also seen in the video uploaded by ‘ANI News’ on the ‘funeral of Qasem Soleimani’. Also, in the video, Iranian flags can be seen.
