Of all the routes operated by the National Carrier Air India, only 6 domestic & 3 international routes are profitable. Why do you think only these routes are profitable? Can we come up with some explanation?
I guess I can explain for Delhi-Hyderabad-Vijayawada. Since the data was from 2014, the Telangana movement that kept the ministers, MPs and all those mantris and babus who presumed self importance, scurrying between the national capital, state capital and probable capital for Andhra after separation should have been the sole cause for Air India to have had a profitable run in those routes! 😀
