Fact: According to the election affidavits filed for the 2022 UP assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav has one pending criminal case (with no conviction yet) and Yogi Adityanath has none. Jayant Chaudhary has no criminal cases according to his election affidavit from the general elections in 2019. However, according to the affidavits filed in 2014 and 2017, Yogi Adityanath had 3 and 4 criminal cases respectively. In 2017, Yogi Adityanath government had issued orders to withdraw a case against Yogi Adityanath which was filed in 1995 in Pipiganj police station.
