The Archived post can be seen here.

Claim: PM Modi endorsed the AIMIM party in Telangana while campaigning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Fact: PM Modi, during a public meeting in Telangana on 10 May 2024 in Telangana stated, “This scene, this atmosphere clearly shows what is the mood of Telangana. Telangana is saying… not Congress, not BRS. Not MIM. We will only vote for BJP and ensure that the party wins.” The original footage was edited and shared to favour AIMIM. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

On performing a reverse image search, we found the original full-length video on Narendra Modi’s official YouTube channel. This video was uploaded on 10 May 2024 with the title, “Public meeting in Hyderabad, Telangana | Lok Sabha Election 2024.”

Upon reviewing the original video, it became evident that the original footage was edited and shared in favour of AIMIM. At 12:47, Modi states, “This scene, this atmosphere clearly shows what is the mood of Telangana. Telangana is saying… not Congress, not BRS. Not MIM. We will only vote for BJP and ensure that the party wins” (translated).

The media also published Modi’s speech, highlighting these lines spoken by Modi in the Dakhni dialect (here, here, and here).

To sum up, Modi did not endorse the AIMIM party during his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana.
