Another post is being shared claiming that Flipkart is offering iPhone for just Rs.499/. However the link shared in the post is doesn’t represent Flipkart’s official website, and is a fraudulent one.
A message is being circulated on social media with a claim that the e-commerce company ‘Flipkart’ is offering free Mi-11 Lite mobile phones on its 15th anniversary. This post claims that Flipkart is conducting an online survey to gift free Mi-11 Lite mobiles on the occasion of its 15th-anniversary celebrations. In a similar context, multiple users are sharing a purported website link to participate in the survey. Let’s verify the claims made in these posts.
Claim: Flipkart is offering free Mi-11 Lite mobiles on the occasion of its 15th Anniversary.
Fact: Flipkart e-commerce website is not conducting any online contest to gift free Mi-11 Lite mobiles. Flipkart has not announced any such offer on any of its social media handles or its official website. The website that is conducting an online survey in the name of Flipkart is a fraudulent one. Flipkart has clarified that the offers mentioned other than on the Flipkart website are fake. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When we searched to check whether the ‘Flipkart’ e-commerce company has conducted any such contest offering free Mi 11 Lite mobile phones, we could not find details of any such offer on the Flipkart website. Flipkart has not announced any such offer on its Twitter and Facebook handles. As of now, Flipkart had not offered free mobile phones by conducting an online survey. If Flipkart has announced any such offer, several news websites would have published articles on it. But, we could not find any article reporting this offer from Flipkart.
The purported online website link (https://jollyvacuum.xyz/) shared by multiple users is not the official website link of Flipkart (https://www.flipkart.com/). This fraudulent website that conducted an online survey in the name of Flipkart is now removed from the internet.
When we reached out to Flipkart officials regarding this message circulating on social media, they clarified that the offers mentioned other than on the Flipkart website are fraudulent ones. Flipkart assured that they are taking legal action against those fraudulent websites sharing these fake offers on the internet. Flipkart has emphasized that these are fraudulent websites offering fake offers on their website.
