A video (here, here and here) showing lawyers/advocates marching on a road is being shared with the claim that they are protesting against vote theft in the elections. Let’s find out the truth behind this claim.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The video of lawyers marching on the road shows them protesting against vote theft.

Fact: The video has no connection to any vote-theft protest. The advocate who originally posted it, Aditya Singh, confirmed that the visuals are from a Bar Council election campaign. Hence, the claim is false.

To verify the claim, we performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the original video uploaded on the Instagram handle adityahunter1157 on 19 October 2025.

In the post, the account holder is identified as Advocate Aditya Singh. His bio also includes two contact numbers and mentions that he is a criminal lawyer at the Allahabad High Court. We spoke to him about this video, and he clarified that everyone seen in the video is an advocate, and that the clip has no connection to any ongoing “vote chori” protests. He confirmed that the video was recorded during a campaign for the Allahabad High Court Bar Association elections. We also found several other Bar Association election campaign videos posted on his account (here, here and here). This confirms that the viral video is not related to any vote-theft protest.

Additionally, a keyword search on Google for any recent lawyers’ protests against “vote chori” returned no relevant reports, further confirming that no such protest took place.

To sum up, an unrelated video from a High Court Bar Association election campaign in Allahabad is being falsely shared as lawyers protesting against vote chori.
