A viral video (here, here, and here) on social media allegedly shows King Charles III unveiling a poster of Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, branding him a terrorist. It is being claimed that Europe has declared Netanyahu a terrorist, after which this poster was unveiled ‘yesterday’ (22 October 2024). We fact-check this claim through this article.

Fact: This is a digitally altered video. The original video is from May 2024, which shows King Charles unveiling his official portrait. There are no credible reports that Europe has declared Benjamin Netanyahu a terrorist. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
To check the veracity of the viral claim, we performed a reverse image search on a few of the viral video’s keyframes. This search led us to the original version of this video from May 2024, uploaded on YouTube by the Associated Press and various other media channels (here and here).
It shows King Charles III unveiling his first official portrait since his coronation. He unveiled this on 14 May 2024 at Buckingham Palace in London, UK. In the video posted on the official page of the royal family on Instagram and in other news reports (here and here), you can clearly see his portrait in red being unveiled by King Charles III.
This makes it clear that this video was digitally altered to replace his portrait with a poster that brands Benjamin Netanyahu a terrorist.
Furthermore, we also searched the internet to verify whether Europe has declared Netanyahu a terrorist. However, we could not find any credible reports to validate such a claim.
To sum up, an edited video is being falsely shared as visuals of King Charles III unveiling a poster of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, which labels him a terrorist.
