An altered video of photographers aiming at a spot is shared as photographers capturing a singing bird

A video of photographers pointing their cameras at a spot is being shared claiming that they are capturing a bird singing. Let’s verify the claim made in the post.

Claim: Photographers trying to capture a singing a bird on the tree.

Fact: From 12 seconds to 13 seconds of this viral video, the bird in the picture appeared out from among the branches and leaves. The bird’s song begins playing before the bird itself comes into view. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

The image of the bird appeared to be unnatural on observation of the video. Moreover, on careful observation of the video at 0.5 speed we found that from 12 seconds to 13 seconds of this video, the bird in the picture appeared out from among the branches and leaves.

Furthermore, the tree branches and leaves surrounding the bird in the background go blurred. Additionally, the bird’s song begins playing before the bird itself comes into view.

While we couldn’t determine the focus of the people in the viral video, the Taiwan Factcheck Centre has verified that the incident occurred at Huanhuaxi Park which is also a well-known bird-watching location in China.

To sum up, an altered video of photographers aiming their cameras at a spot is shared as photographers capturing a singing bird.
