In the viral video clip, Manoj Bajpayee can be seen campaigning for Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav. Bajpayee is shown conversing with various individuals who remind him that “Tejashwi Yadav will take charge of the next government in Bihar on 14 November 2025.” This article fact-checks the claim made in the post.

Fact: The viral video has been digitally altered using artificial intelligence (AI). The original video was a promotional advertisement by the OTT platform Amazon, released in November 2023. In the original version, Manoj Bajpayee discusses TV show recommendations for Amazon Prime Video. Hence the claim made in the post is FALSE.
If we observe the viral video carefully, we notice a watermark reading “Spoof” at the bottom-right corner of the video. This indicates that the viral video is a humorous or satirical imitation of the original content.
To gather more details about the viral video, we conducted a Google reverse image search using key frames from the clip. This led us to the original video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of the OTT platform Amazon Prime India on 01 November 2023, titled Your Amazon Prime Recommendation FT. Manoj Bajpayee | Prime Video India. In the original video, Bajpayee can be seen taking film recommendations from people and is not campaigning for the RJD in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
In the video, a reporter asks Bajpayee, “What shows are you watching these days?” to which he replies, “If you have any recommendations, then please let me know.” Following this, the reporter asks the audience to suggest shows for Bajpayee to watch. Several people in the ad then recommend different shows available on Amazon Prime Video.
From this, it is clear that the viral video has been digitally altered to falsely show that actor Manoj Bajpayee is campaigning for the RJD in the 2025 Bihar elections. A comparison between the viral video and the original video shared by Amazon Prime can be seen below.
Furthermore, multiple AI tools, such as Hive and Hiya, have confirmed that the audio in the viral video has been AI-manipulated or digitally altered.
We then conducted a relevant keyword search to check whether Bajpayee had extended his support to the RJD in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, but we did not find any credible statements or reports. During this search, we found a post on X by Manoj Bajpayee dated 16 October 2025, where he called the video fake. The post reads: “I would like to publicly state that I have no association or allegiance with any political party. The video being circulated is a fake, patched-up edit of an ad I did for Prime Video. I sincerely appeal to everyone sharing it to stop spreading such distorted content and urge people not to engage with or encourage such misleading content.”
