A video that appears like a news clip is being widely shared on social media. In the video, we can see Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) talk about a passive income platform developed by Mukesh Ambani, which is allegedly being withheld from the public by the Government of India. Later in the video, news anchor Anjana Om Kasyap says that after SRK made this statement, PM Narendra Modi reacted to it and revealed that the platform/project is a Crypto-based investment app/scheme. We can see PM Modi speaking about the scheme and asking people to register for it on the website. A link to a site named ‘inoviuew.com’ is available in the post. We will fact-check this claim through this article.

Claim: A news clip about Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and PM Modi promoting an AI-powered crypto-based investment scheme/app launched by Mukesh Ambani.
Fact: This is an AI-generated Deepfake video. There is no credible evidence to prove that SRK and PM Modi have promoted this investment scheme/app. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
To check the veracity of the viral claim, we performed a keyword search online and found no news reports on either Shah Rukh Khan or Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoting such an investment scheme or app. We found no official statements from either individual or any mention of the government launching an AI-powered crypto initiative
In the entire viral video, the voice and the accent of news anchor Anjana Om Kashyap, PM Modi, and Actor Shah Rukh Khan were unusual and off compared to their original voices. Their mouth movements also felt unrealistic. This led us to suspect that the viral video could have been created using artificial intelligence.
To verify this, we ran the video through multiple AI detection tools like Hive, Cantilux, and Hiya. Hive rated multiple segments of the video, more than 99% likely to be AI-generated (here, here, and here). Another AI detection tool named Cantilux also concluded (here, here, and here) that it was an AI-generated media.

Hiya AI Audio Detector, which detects AI-generated audio, flagged several segments as AI-generated.

Further, we found that the link that the viral post directs users to is a suspicious website named inoviuew.com. Scam Detector, a site that detects suspicious websites, gave this site a rating of 1.9 out of 100. This site mimics the look of Invest India, a legitimate government agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). However, this site is fake and falsely claims to represent an official government investment initiative.
Additionally, through separate reverse image searches on the internet, we found the original sources of the clips featuring SRK and PM Modi. The Shah Rukh Khan clip was sourced from an interview uploaded by the Locarno Film Festival YouTube channel in October 2024, where he appears in the same attire and background as seen in the viral clip. However, there was no mention of any crypto investment project in the original interview.
The PM Modi video is from a YouTube video posted on 12 May 2025, on his official YouTube channel. This was his national address on Operation Sindoor. He made no reference to any financial or crypto-related scheme.
To sum up, an AI-generated video is falsely shared as visuals of PM Modi and Shah Rukh Khan promoting a Crypto trading scheme.
