Fact: This video shows an incident that actually took place in Cairo, Egypt. Reportedly, the father of the two girls was involved in the drugging and kidnapping of them. Later, he fled the country with one of the girls. Hence, the claim made in the post is False.
To check the veracity of the viral claim, we performed a keyword search on the internet, leading us to news reports (here and here) from December 2023, which contained a screenshot of the viral clip.
Reportedly, owing to some family disputes, a father took help from two of his friends to drug and kidnap his two daughters in an elevator. After this, he fled the country with one of his daughters. This video went viral on social media last month and has nothing to do with Bengaluru or has no communal angle as claimed.
To sum up, a video of a kidnapping incident in Cairo, Egypt, is falsely shared as one from Bangalore, India.
