Raebareli Police also confirmed that the video was filmed for entertainment purposes and warned against spreading such misinformation. Hence, the claim is FALSE.
We searched for any recent reports of such an incident in Bareilly but found no results. To trace the origin of the video, we conducted a reverse image search, which led us to the same clip posted on an Instagram account named ajaygupta6520. The caption mentioned that it was a behind-the-scenes video from a shoot. Additionally, Ajay Gupta has previously shared several behind-the-scenes videos related to films, web series, and dramas on his social media accounts (here and here).

To identify the movie or series from which the viral video originated, we performed a relevant keyword search. This led us to the crime web series Crime Patrol 2.0, uploaded on the YouTube channel Nova Crime Thrillers on 23 September 2025. The thumbnail of the episode itself shows the woman being shot, matching the viral clip. At the timestamp 04:07, the same scene from the viral video can be seen. The video description clearly mentions that it is a completely fictional story created for entertainment purposes only.

Additionally, the Raebareli Police also clarified that the viral video does not show a real incident but is actually from a movie or series shoot. Raebareli ASP Sanjeev Sinha further stated that legal action will be taken against individuals spreading this misinformation on social media. All this confirms that the viral video is not a real incident but a behind-the-scenes clip from a web series.
