A video going viral on social media (here, here, and here) shows a man wearing an Islamic cap threatening a police officer, saying, “I will get you suspended in two hours.” In response, the policeman confronts him and tells him to get out. The video also contains a text stating, “Salim threatened the police.” The post is being shared as if the video depicts a real incident. Let’s verify the claim made in the post through this article.

Claim: The video shows a Muslim man threatening to get the police officer suspended.

Fact:  The viral video is scripted and does not depict a real incident. It was uploaded by Monty Deepak Sharma, a video creator, on his Instagram handle on 17 March 2025. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

A reverse image search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to the same video on an Instagram handle named Monty Deepak Sharma, posted on 17 March 2025 with the caption “Salim ki Harkat.”

Upon reviewing Monty Deepak Sharma’s Instagram handle, we found that he identifies himself as a video creator.

We found a link to his Facebook account in the bio of his Instagram handle. On this Facebook account, we found a video (archived) uploaded on 21 January 2025, featuring the same individuals as seen in the viral video. However, in this version, the man wearing a Muslim cap is seen stopping the policeman from removing “Jai Shri Ram” posters from a car. At the end of the video, the person dressed as a policeman states, “The purpose of this video is entertainment only. It has nothing to do with caste or religion. This is a fictional video created by our team.”

We noticed that Deepak frequently shares similar content, and the same individuals from the viral video can be seen in multiple other videos (here, here, and here).

Additionally, we reached out to Monty Deepak Sharma and he confirmed to Factly that the viral video is scripted and does not depict a real incident.

To sum up, a scripted video showing a Muslim man threatening to get a police officer suspended is falsely shared as a real incident.
