After the Bihar Assembly election results were declared, a video (here, here, here and here) of popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir began circulating widely on social media. The clip shows him accusing the NDA of vote theft in Bihar. He appears to claim that although he voted for the RJD and earlier dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of vote tampering by the BJP, he now believes votes were indeed stolen in Bihar. Here’s the truth behind the viral video.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The viral video shows Khan Sir accusing the NDA of vote theft in Bihar after the 2025 Assembly election results.

Fact: This video is a deepfake. Khan Sir has not made any such public statement after the election results. The original clip, uploaded by Zee Jharkhand-Bihar on 31 July 2024, shows him talking about the infrastructure of an educational institution, not politics. The viral video has mismatched lip-sync, altered audio, and AI analysis (Resemble AI) confirms the audio is deepfake. Hence the claim is FALSE.

To verify the authenticity of the clip, we first conducted a keyword search on Google to check if Khan Sir had made any such political statement. No credible reports supported the claim. On reviewing the viral video closely, we found several inconsistencies: the voice modulation does not match his actual voice, and the audio is not in sync with his lip movements. These discrepancies strongly indicate that the video is manipulated.

We then looked into clues visible in the video, such as the ‘Zee Jharkhand-Bihar’ watermark. A search using this reference led us to the original video uploaded by Zee Jharkhand-Bihar on 31 July 2024, months before the Bihar election results were announced in November 2025. The background and Khan Sir’s attire in the original clip match perfectly, confirming it as the source of the clip.

In the original video, Khan Sir is not speaking about any political party or leader. Instead, he is seen explaining the infrastructure of an educational institute. He mentions that the centre comprises three large sheds where around 600–700 students study together, with three emergency exit routes and proper ventilation and fans to manage the summer heat.

To further confirm whether the viral video was a deepfake, we analysed the audio using the AI-based detection tool Resemble AI. The tool flagged the audio as a deepfake. Combined with the mismatched lip-sync and the original Zee Jharkhand-Bihar footage, all available evidence confirms that the viral video is manipulated.

To sum up, this video of Khan Sir claiming that votes were stolen in Bihar is a deepfake.
