These are the 14 designs of ₹10 Coins that are currently valid

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a press release stating that there are 14 different designs of    10 coins that are currently valid. The release confirms that all these designs are valid coins and can be accepted for transactions.

In the recent months, there have been rumours about the ₹ 10 coins being declared invalid by the government. Many vendors and shopkeepers have refused to accept the ₹ 10 coins. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on multiple occasions had confirmed that the ₹ 10 coins are valid and they can be accepted for all transactions. The RBI has now issued a detailed press release listing the 14 different designs of the ₹ 10 coins that are currently valid.

14 Designs currently valid
The 14 designs that are currently valid have distinctive features reflecting various themes. Many of them have been issued on important occasions. The RBI also made it clear that since coins have longer life, coins of different designs and shapes circulate in the market at the same time which is usually not the case with currency notes.

The RBI has also advised banks to accept coins for transactions and exchange at all their branches.
