Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who gained widespread attention in 2023 after illegally entering India via Nepal to be with Sachin Meena, whom she met through PUBG, has once again gone viral amid the recent India-Pakistan tensions. Following her arrest and subsequent bail, Seema became entangled in multiple controversies, one involving a viral photo of her wearing a Pakistan Army uniform, which was later confirmed to be AI-generated, and another alleging she was a Pakistani spy, though there is no concrete evidence to support this claim. During the recent unrest, there were also calls for her deportation, but no such action was taken by the government. Now, a new video (here, here and here) has surfaced, allegedly showing her with her children chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” and “India Murdabad” in front of the media. Let’s verify the truth behind this viral video.

The archived post can be found here.

Claim: The viral video shows Seema Haider and her children chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” and “India Murdabad” in front of the media.

Fact: The viral video is edited. The original video, reported by news channels in August 2023, shows Seema Haider chanting “Pakistan Murdabad” and “Hindustan Zindabad” while interacting with the media. She was also seen wearing a dress in the colours of the Indian flag. Hence the claim is FALSE.

To uncover the truth, we closely analysed the viral video that shows Seema Haider dressed in Indian flag colours. On careful observation, we noticed clear cuts in the footage—specifically, after she says “Pakistan,” there is an abrupt cut before she says “Zindabad,” and similarly, another cut between the words “India” and “Murdabad.” These noticeable edits strongly suggest that the video has been manipulated to misrepresent her statements.

To trace the origin of the viral video, we performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to a report by Dainik Jagran published on 14 August 2023. The original video, captioned “Seema Haider raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ and said ‘Hindustan Zindabad’ on Independence Day 2023,” clearly shows the same visuals seen in the viral clip. At the 00:53 timestamp, the clips used in the viral video can be identified, but in this original footage, Seema is actually saying “Pakistan Murdabad.” At the 1:02 mark, she can be seen saying “Hindustan Zindabad.” This confirms that the viral video has been edited to distort the original message.

A side-by-side comparison of the viral and original videos confirms that while both feature the same visuals, the viral video has been technically edited to distort the original message.

Additionally, we found several news reports featuring the original video, which shows Seema Haider interacting with the media, chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and wearing a dress in the colours of the Indian flag (here, here and here).

To sum up, the video showing Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman residing in India, chanting pro-Pakistan slogans is edited.
