In the video clip, he can be seen saying, ‘Who created the Constitution?.. Gandhiji gave his whole life to create the constitution. We will fact-check this claim through this article.

Fact: This is a clipped version of Rahul Gandhi’s original speech given during the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Munger, Bihar on 21 August 2025. In his original speech, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Ambedkar gave his whole life to create the constitution,’ before speaking about Gandhi dedicating his whole life to creating the constitution. Hence, the claim made in the post is Misleading.
To check the veracity of the viral claim, we performed a keyword search online and found a longer version of Rahul Gandhi’s speech on the Instagram and Facebook pages of Maktoob Media.
In this video, he can be seen saying, ‘Samvidhaan kisne banaya?…Ambedkar ji ne apni poori zindagi di, zindagi di samvidhaan banaya. Gandhi Ji ne zindagi di samvidhaan banaya..Gandhi ji ne zindagi di samvidhaan banaya’, which translates to ‘Who created the constitution? Ambedkar gave his whole life to create the constitution. Gandhi gave his whole life to create the constitution.’ After this, he says that ‘Vote Chori’ is an attack on the constitution.’
As per this post’s description, this is part of a speech given by him during his ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra.’ Further, we performed another keyword search on the internet and found the full-length version of this speech on Rahul Gandhi’s YouTube channel.
This speech is part of a live stream from 21 August 2025, from the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ from Munger, Bihar. The portion seen in the viral video starts from the 20:00 minute timestamp, where he credits both Dr. B R Ambedkar and M K Gandhi for the making of the constitution.
He then proceeds to speak about ‘Vote Chori’ and how it is like an attack on the constitution of India. This evidence makes it clear that he did not solely speak about Mahatma Gandhi dedicating his life to the constitution; he also spoke about Dr. B R Ambedkar. The Indian National Congress channel had also streamed this speech live on 21 August 2025.
