Video of a digitally created robot is falsely shared as ‘training video of robot used by the US to kill Al Baghdadi’

A video is being shared widely on Facebook with the claim that it is the training video of the robot used by the U.S delta force in the operation to kill terrorist Al-Bagdadi in Syria. Let’s analyze the authenticity of that claim.

Claim: Video shows training of robot used by the US in the operation to kill Al Baghdadi in Syria.

Fact: The robot in the video is not a real one, it is digitally created using ‘CGI’ technique. So, the claim is FALSE.

When searched on YouTube with keywords ‘Robot training’, the same video was found in the search results. The video had the title ‘New Robot Makes Soldiers Obsolete (Bosstown Dynamics)’ and was found to be uploaded by a YouTube channel ‘Corridor’ on October 26, 2019.

When searched on YouTube with keywords ‘Bosstown Dynamics’, a making video of the above video was found in the search results. It had the title ‘We Used CGi to Fake Military Robots’ and was uploaded by a YouTube channel ‘Corridor Crew’ on October 27, 2019.

To conclude, a video of a digitally created robot is falsely shared as ‘training video of robot used by the US to kill Al Baghdadi in Syria’.
