Fact: The video is being circulated on social media at least since January 2019. Several Pakistani news websites published this video in January 2019 reporting it as visuals of ice cubes coming out from a pipeline in the Khuzdar area of Balochistan in Pakistan. The video is old and not from Rajasthan. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
When we searched for this video using relevant keywords on the internet, videos with similar visuals were found to be circulating on social media at least since January 2019. Many social media users and a few Pakistani websites published this video in January 2019, mentioning it as visuals of ice cubes coming out from a pipeline in the Khuzdar area of Balochistan in Pakistan. In an extended version of the video, one could see a man with a turban covering his face and head.
When we searched for further sources, we found the same video on the official Facebook page of the Pakistan-based news channel ‘SAMAA’. ‘SAMAA’ in the Facebook post reported it as viral video of ice cubes coming out from a pipeline, because of extreme cold conditions, in the Khuzdar area of Balochistan.
In January 2019, a few Indian news websites published the same video and reported it as visuals from a farmland in Haryana and Chhattisgarh. But, it is nowhere reported that the viral video is from Rajasthan. Lately, there are news reports about ice cubes flowing out of pipelines because of extreme cold conditions in Kashmir valley. Though we could not ascertain the exact details of the video, it can be concluded from all these pieces of evidence that the video shared in the post is old and not from Rajasthan.
