Claim: The video shows Kerala Police cadets marching while raising Islamic slogans.

Fact: The viral video does not show Kerala Police cadets marching while raising Islamic slogans. It shows Arangadi scouts participating in the 2025 Eid-e-Milad rally in Kasaragod, Kerala. Azim Arangadi, secretary of the Arangadi Muslim Youth League, confirmed that the youths are followers of the Arangadi Parambath Juma Masjid and not police cadets. Additionally, Kerala Police Deputy Director and Public Relations Officer S.R. Praveen clarified that the video has no connection to the police. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led us to an Instagram post by arangadi_official_page, dated 06 September 2025, which featured the same video. The page’s bio mentioned that it is affiliated with the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and is based in Arangadi, Kasaragod district of Kerala.

Upon reviewing the Arangadi official page, we found a photo of people in similar uniforms with the caption “2025-26 Scout team Arangadi.”

A comparison of uniforms from the viral video and the Instagram image can be seen below.

A video shared on Pachapada Arangadi’s Facebook page on 06 September 2025 showed the same three youths seen at the forefront of the viral parade. The post stated that the visuals were from the Eid-e-Milad rally.

We also found a YouTube news report by News18 Kerala, published on 07 September 2025, showing the same people seen parading in the viral video. The video description mentioned that during the Kanhangad Nabi Day Rally, Hosdurg police registered a case against 200 people for completely blocking the road. The rally was organised under the leadership of the Manikoth Juma’ath Committee and the Arangadi Juma’ath Committee in Kasaragod, Kanhangad.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, Azim Arangadi, secretary of the Arangadi Muslim Youth League, clarified that the viral video is from the 2025 Eid-e-Milad rally and that the youths seen parading are followers of the Arangadi Parambath Juma Masjid.
