A video (here, here and here) is going viral on social media that shows a railway employee allegedly taking a bribe from a girl and disrespectfully holding her hand. Many users are sharing it as a real incident. Let’s check the truth behind this video.
Claim: The viral video shows a railway employee taking a bribe from a girl and disrespectfully holding her hand.
Fact: The video is scripted. It was originally uploaded by content creator Raj Thakur on Instagram and YouTube, where he clearly mentioned it is for entertainment and awareness purposes only. The same set of actors also appear in his other scripted videos. Hence the claim is FALSE.
To verify the truth, we performed a reverse image search that led us to the original upload of the viral video on an Instagram handle named official_rajthakur. In the caption, it was clearly mentioned: “This video is totally scripted, not real. All content is just for entertainment purposes and awareness, not hate speech.”
We also found a YouTube channel of the same content creator named Raj Thakurrrr, where the same video was uploaded with a description stating that it is scripted. Additionally, the channel bio also mentions that he is a content creator, further confirming that the video is not real.
Additionally, the same set of actors from the viral video can be seen acting in other videos on the same account (here and here). This clearly shows that the video is scripted and not real.
