A video (here, here and here) going viral on social media shows a monkey drawing an image of Lord Hanuman on a wall, with many users sharing it as a real incident. Let’s find out the truth behind this video.
Claim: The video shows a monkey painting a picture of Lord Hanuman on a wall.
Fact: The video is AI-generated and not real, as confirmed by the original upload on the Instagram handle MultiverseMatrix and AI detection tools; hence, the claim is FALSE.
While closely observing the video, several inconsistencies become apparent. The body parts of people appear or move unnaturally at certain points, which is a common characteristic of AI-generated videos.
To trace the origin of the video, we performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the original upload on the Instagram handle MultiverseMatrix on 09 October 2025.
While checking the MultiverseMatrix profile, we found that the owner’s name is Ajin Joseph, and his bio clearly states that he creates AI-generated videos on his Instagram handle. Many other AI-generated videos can also be found on his profile (here, here and here).
To determine whether the video is AI-generated, we ran it through the AI detector DeepFake-O-Meter, which clearly indicated that the video is likely AI-generated. These pieces of evidence confirm that the video is not real.
To sum up, the video showing a monkey drawing a Hanuman image on a wall is AI-generated and not real.
