These viral videos showing cows attacking vehicles on a road in India are AI-generated

A couple of videos are circulating on social media showing animal attacks. In the first video, a cow jumps on a luxury car in the middle of the road, breaking its windshield. In the second video, a cow is seen jumping at and attacking an auto-rickshaw on the road. Both videos are being shared as real incidents that occurred in India. Let’s verify the truth behind these videos in this article.

Claim: The videos show cows attacking vehicles on the road in India.

Fact: These viral videos do not depict real incidents; they were created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The footage shows several visual inconsistencies typical of AI-generated content, such as disappearing shop boards, cars moving unrealistically, and the number of cows changing mid-video. The videos were created and shared by the Instagram page ‘@aikalaakari’, which regularly posts AI-generated content, including similar videos of cows attacking vehicles. Additionally, the Hive AI content detection tool flagged these videos as AI-generated. However, we found several accidents and mishaps on Indian roads involving cows. Yet, the two videos in question do not show real incidents and are completely generated using AI. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.

Upon closer examination, the videos depicting cows attacking vehicles appear unrealistic and exhibit several inconsistencies. In the first video, where a cow attacks a luxury car, another car on the opposite side is seen moving in reverse, and the shop name boards disappear by the end of the video. In the second video, showing a cow attacking an auto-rickshaw, two cows are visible at the beginning, but by the end, only one cow is seen running away. Such anomalies are often found in AI-generated or deepfake videos (here and here), indicating that these videos were likely created using AI.

A reverse image search of keyframes from the first video, showing a cow attacking a luxury car, led us to an Instagram post on the handle @aikalaakari, dated 04 October 2025, featuring the same video.

We found that the page’s bio states that the creator is an AI filmmaker. Upon reviewing the page, it was observed that it frequently posts videos made using AI. We also found similar visuals of a cow attacking an auto-rickshaw on his page (here, here).

To further verify whether both viral videos were AI-generated, we analysed them using the Hive AI content detection tool, which flagged them with aggregate scores of 98.1% and 99.8% respectively, indicating that both videos are fake.

Though we found several accidents and mishaps on Indian roads involving cows (here, here, and here), the two videos in question do not show real incidents and are completely generated using AI.

To sum up, these viral videos showing cows attacking vehicles on the road in India are AI-generated.
