Claim: A CCTV video shows a thief abandoning a robbery and returning the money after a child offers him a lollipop inside the shop.

Fact: The video is scripted. It was uploaded by the Pakistani channel Kamran Team Official, which clearly states that the scenes are scripted and the weapons are fake. Hence the claim is FALSE.

To verify the claim, we performed a reverse image search on Google, which led us to the original video uploaded on the Pakistani YouTube channel Kamran Team Official on 16 November 2025. In the video’s description, it is clearly stated that the clip is scripted, the individuals featured are actors, and the weapons shown are fake.

We also found the same video uploaded on the Facebook page of Kamran Team, where the caption clearly mentions that the video is scripted.

We also found several similar scripted videos on the same YouTube channel (here, here, and here), and all this evidence confirms that the viral clip is not a real incident.

To sum up, the video of a thief abandoning his robbery plan after a child offers him a lollipop is scripted, not real.
