A video is circulating on social media (here, here, and here) with the claim that three Bangladeshi nationals, disguised as sadhus, were caught in Gopalganj, Bihar. The posts also allege that they were found eating meat. Let’s verify the claim made in the post in this article.

Claim: The video shows three Bangladeshi nationals, disguised as sadhus, caught in Gopalganj, Bihar, while eating meat.
Fact: The video is indeed from Kuchaikot in Gopalganj, Bihar. However, there is no truth in the claim that three Bangladeshi nationals disguised as sadhus were caught while eating meat. In a press release issued on 15 December 2025, Gopalganj Police stated that the individual seen in the video was verified by the local station house officer and identified as a sadhu. No incriminating material was found, and the police clarified that he is not a Bangladeshi national. His Aadhaar card was verified, confirming that he is a resident of the Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh. Hence, the claim made in the post is FALSE.
Upon closely reviewing the viral video, we noticed a building in the background with the names “Bhawani Clinic” and “Heart and Diabetes Center” visible on it. A search on Google Maps shows that the building belongs to Maa Bhawani Clinic and Diabetes Center in Kuchaikot, Gopalganj. This confirms that the video is indeed from Bihar.
We also found a press release by Gopalganj Police on 15 December 2025 that refuted the claim shared in the viral video. It stated that the video was verified by the station house officer of Kuchaikote and that the man was identified as a sadhu, with no incriminating material recovered from his possession. The police further denied the claim that the sadhu was a Bangladeshi, stating that his Aadhaar card was verified and that he is a resident of Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh.
To sum up, the viral video claiming to show Bangladeshi nationals disguised as sadhus caught in Gopalganj, Bihar, eating meat is fake.
